About

I’m a writer for TV, stage and audio.

Originally from North West England, I started out in theatre, taking three original plays to the Edinburgh festival and writing for various shorts nights after I moved down to London. I co-ran the short play night The Miniaturists at the Arcola Theatre for six years, co-producing over 100 short plays by various up and coming writers.

My first break in TV came via the BAFTA Rocliffe New Comedy Showcase, where a sitcom spec of mine was a runner-up. From there, I was hired as a writer of series 4 and 5 of Cartoon Network’s The Amazing World of Gumball, got representation with Ellen Gallagher, and found that I loved writing in animation! I’ve since written over 50 episodes of animated TV.

I’ve worked for channels like Disney, Netflix, BBC, Nickelodeon and have been a head writer in devlopment for Paramount and Dreamwork’s. Alongside this work, I’ve had original scripts under option with companies like Hat Trick Productions, Hartswood Films, Balloon Entertainment, and BBC Studios. See my CV page for a full list of my previous work.

When I’m not writing on shows (and right now I’m keeping busy on two new BBC shows) I write my own specs and pitch original pilots. Some of these are in the animation space, and I have a few adult animation projects I am really excited about as well as pitches for 6-12. Others are in live action, and I have spec scripts for drama available to read as well.
